Alexei Nikolaievich Skorobogatov is a mathematician and currently a Professor in Pure Mathematics at Imperial College London. He specialises in algebraic geometry.
He completed his dissertation under the supervision of Yuri Manin, for which he was awarded a Ph.D. degree.[1]
He has published papers on rational points, the Hasse principle and the Manin obstruction, exponential sums, combinatorics and error-correcting codes. In 2001 he was awarded a Whitehead Prize by the London Mathematical Society.[2]
